From Whitman to Plath: Event dedicated to translations of English poetry

23 January, 2019
Info:

Through their translations, Katerina Iliopoulou and Eleni Iliopoulou introduce the audience to English poetry, starting off with Walt Whitman's work and reaching to Sylvia Plath, while making "in-between stops" to Mina Loy, Ted Hughes and others. Some of these translations have already been published, such as Plath’s collection of poems, "Ariel" (2012) and "Poems" (2003) and an extensive anthology of poems from Whitman’s collection "Leaves of Grass" is expected to be published soon.

Adrianne Kalfopoulou and Chris Sakellaridis read the original poems in English.
