The Italian Cultural Institute of Athens is the Cultural Office of the Italian Embassy in Greece. Its aim is to promote and develop cultural relations between Greece and Italy.
According to the Education Agreement between Italy and Greece, the Institute:
• promotes contacts between Greek Institutions, Organizations and Greek services with their respective Italian
• curates and organizes cultural events (exhibitions, concerts, performances, conferences) in collaboration with Greek and Italian public and private actors
• provides information on scholarships and studies in Italy
develops teaching activities by organizing training seminars, exams for certification of Italian language proficiency, Italian language and culture courses for adults and young people, as well as specialized courses.
