The J. F. Costopoulos Foundation was established in 1979, on the occasion of the centenary of Credit Bank, now Alpha Bank, in memory of its founder John F. Costopoulos by its then Chairman, the late Spyros Costopoulos and his wife Eurydice. In accordance with its Articles of Association & Operation, the Foundation aims to support and promote the Greek culture, arts and letters within and beyond the national borders.
The Foundation pursues its key aims by supporting activities that promote Research and Education, safeguard our Cultural Heritage, support Social Contribution, and showcase the Arts.
More particularly in the field of artistic creation, its contribution to the promotion of modern and contemporary art, among others, is reflected in the production and co-production of visual art exhibitions, publications and educational programmes with other major institutions.
The dates of submission for grant requests are June 1-15 of the current year for projects scheduled for the year to come, except January.
