Museum of Cycladic Art

The Museum of Cycladic Art opened its doors to the public in January 1986, and is now a living institution in the heart of Athens. With the aim of communicating with the general public, it organises temporary exhibitions – devoted to archaeology and contemporary art – educational programmes, creative activities for children and families, lectures, one-day conferences, seminars, music and other events. Its permanent collections are promoted by occasional reinstallations according to the latest museological approaches and academic publications.

Gennadius Library

The Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens is one of Greece’s national treasures. Located in an historical building in central Athens houses a richly diverse collection of books and rare bindings, archives, manuscripts, and works of art illuminating Hellenic culture and civilization from antiquity to modern times. In addition to its role as a library and research institution, “the Gennadeion” is also an active participant in the Athenian community through its public lectures, seminars, concerts, exhibitions, and publications.
