Athens has been awarded the EU’s prestigious European Capital of Innovation 2018 title, with a prize of €1 million as announced in Lisbon, in the presence of the Mayor of Athens, Mr. Giorgos Kaminis, who received the prize.
Athens won! Together we made Athens the European Capital of Innovation 2018!
Why we did more with less.
We believed in a new way of participatory government and opened the city to its people. Together we have created dozens of innovative projects. We supported the family, residents and entrepreneurs, our vulnerable fellow citizens, creative groups of the city, refugees and immigrants.
Whatever we have achieved, we all succeeded together!
